Ok, seems like an intersting idea. I guess we'll have to wait and see how it turns out though... Oh, the merriment that takes place when the bass players from various English groups hang out together. Apparently Peter Hook (Joy Division, New Order), Andy Rourke (The Smiths), and Mani (Stone Roses) were enjoying a few bevvies when Hook ventured the idea of the three of them forming an all bass supergroup, which elicited laughter from all present, indicating to him that it was a good idea. From CMJ quoting Filter Magazine, "'It was just one drunken night and I floated the idea. And basically what gave me the most impetus was that everyone laughed,' Hook told Filter. 'Three bass players on an album—everyone absolutely pissed themselves.'" The band is made up of the three bassists plus a vocalist to be named later (they're looking for someone unknown who does not play the bass for some reason).
