Ok, now this is pretty funny or sad depending on how you look at it, yes, once you have a hit song the record company is going to expect you to keep churning them out, but come on try and have some depth in what you're putting out there, I wonder who came up with this idea to put these songs back to back, listen and hear what I'm talking about...

Ok, what surprises me is not what Morrissey says in this article , but that there aren't more artists that are saying similar things, what happened to all the loudmouth singers of years gone by, you know a ton of them are probably still thinking it? What about all the psuedo-pop punk rockers of today posturing, I guess they are too worried about not getting their CDs sold in Walmart and Best Buy to be too critical of our current President. I'm not political myself, nor have I ever claimed to be, but were is the voice of desent other than on the editorial page of the newspaper?

According to the Manchester Evening News, Morrissey wished death upon President George W. Bush while on stage.
When announcing the death of ex-President Ronald Regan, he added a note about wishing it was George W. Bush instead. The singer's camp didn't deny the claim, saying that Morrissey was simply excercising his political views.
This new blogger format is pissing me off. Ok, to reiterate what no one else saw and is now wiped out. Covenent is looking to make the definitive EBM album, which I say "more power to them, someone should do it." Of course I'd love to see an unknown band of upcomers do it, but hey, if it happens I don't really care where it comes from and of the established acts I think Covenent is one of the few bands that could pull it off. Less than a week after headlining the Coachella festival in the Southern California desert, goth pioneers the Cure have unveiled plans for a full U.S. tour this summer.
The Curiosa Festival 2004 will feature the Cure headlining a bill that also includes three bands plainly influenced by Robert Smith and company: Interpol, the Rapture and Mogwai.
A second stage will also be part of the traveling road show, with Muse, Thursday, Cursive, Melissa Auf Der Maur, Cooper Temple Clause and Head Automatica rotating as performers.

After 15 years working together as Orbital, Paul and Phil Hartnoll have announced that their forthcoming LP the “Blue Album” will be their last. Following the album’s release on 21st of June, Orbital will play Brixton Academy on 25th of June followed by their last ever English live show, closing the second stage on Sunday June 27th at Glastonbury.
“I think we feel that Orbital has run it’s course,” says Paul Hartnoll. “We’re both pursuing different avenues with our music. And we’ve been sat, as brothers, in the same room for 15 years now–and studios are always confined spaces–I think it’s time for a change.”
