Well, it's interesting to see someone do something different, a sex album could be good, bad, or indifferent just like sex itself, but the idea behind this is pretty good... The features sounds of the CD(with the exception of Vale’s vocals) are taken entirely from the recordings of live sex that were manipulated into dark electronic and ambient music. This is the first release from artist/producer Jessica Vale, who collaborated with fellow NYC producer, Ivan Evangelista to make the record. In March 2003 Vale and Evangelista began pursuing couples that were willing to participate in the project. Shortly after they started their search, they found seven couples of different sexual orientations that were interested. Honestly, I'm very excited about this. Android Lust is in a class all by themselves with intensity that is matched by no one that I can think of off the top of my head. Let's hope it's a good one... "Dragonfly" is the new single pulled from the yet untitled forthcoming Android Lust album to be released in January '06. The single should hit the shop shelves on October 18th on Projekt Records and features a remix by I, Parasite and an exclusive b-side. The yet untitled album will be Android Lust's third full length to date.

It's alwayst good to see that Siouxsie and Budgie are still doing it after all of these years. The newer Creatures tracks that they have on there are very cool, so this is going to the top of my list of things to get. Here's to hoping it's good... Siouxsie Sioux’s dream of playing live with a classical orchestra became reality at the Royal Festival Hall last October – and was captured on the DVD "Dreamshow". From classic Banshees tracks to Creatures singles, and including tracks never performed live before, "Dreamshow" has it all. Live guests for that performance included Kodo drummer Leonard Eto and cellist Martin McCarrick. Special features include footage of the rehearsals with the orchestra, soundcheck, exclusive interviews with Sioux, Budgie and the rest of the band as well as an exclusive selection of tracks culled from Siouxsie’s last appearance at London’s legendary punk venue, the 100 Club. Heh, more info on the upcoming Depeche Mode album. I've been listening to their older CDs recently and will probably buy this album regardless, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed that it'll be worthwhile... Depeche Mode have announced the title of their upcoming album. The album will be called "Playing The Angel". To be released on October 17th it will hold the following songs: Precious, Sinner in Me, Suffer Well, John the Revelator, Macrovision (with Martin Gore on lead), A Pain That Im Used To, I Want It All and a few other tracks, 3 of which have been written by frontman Dave Gahan. According to www.depeche-mode.com the album will be preceded by the single "Precious" to be released in early October. During the band's press conference in Düsseldorf on June 16th, songwriter Martin Gore also revealed that the band might release a new live DVD: "We don't have concrete plans, but we probably will release one, yes. While I thought their last album was crap, I'm always hopeful that dM will return to its once former glory. I know that's a bit of a pipe dream. Oh well, one can hope... EMI has confirmed us that Depeche Mode is to hold a press conference on June 16th in Dusseldorf, Germany. According to the EMI spokeswoman the band will announce a few selected dates of their Fall tour together with details of their upcoming album which is tentatively planned for release on October 17th in Europe. The band has in the meantime revealed more details on the forthcoming album in an interview with Q Magazine. The first working titles announced include "Pain", "Suffer Well", "Everything", "Free", "Sinner In Me", "Martyr For Love" and "Macro". Collide has always been definitely an impressive band to me album-wise, so this seems like it should be a good thing if they can pull it off likewise live... After 5 albums and 11 years together, Collide will finally play a live show in Los Angeles. The six-piece live band will make their Hollywood debut at the historic El Rey Theatre on Thursday, April 14th. Along with Statik and kaRIN, Collide's expanded live show line-up includes Scott Landes on guitar, Rogerio Silva on guitar, Chaz Pease on drums, and Kai Kurosawa on bass and warr guitar. In 1995, Collide self-released their first cassette demo, "The Crimson Trial". Ten years later they have 5 additional full-length albums and their own record label, Noiseplus Music. Their latest release, "Vortex", is a double CD that features remixes of songs from previous albums as well as three covers.

Finally, some non-death-related news... The former Smashing Pumpkins and Zwan frontman, Billy Corgan, will release his debut solo album "TheFutureEmbrace" on June 21st before beginning an American tour. The 12-song record includes a cover of the Bee Gees’ "To Love Somebody" featuring backing vocals from The Cure’s Robert Smith, while former Smashing Pumpkins drummer Jimmy Chamberlin features on "Dia". Chamberlain also has a solo album due through Sanctuary Records. The album will be released on June 21 and the complete tracklisting is: "All Things Change", "Mina Loy (M.O.H.)", "TheCameraEye", "To Love Somebody", "A100", "DIA", "Now (And Then)", "I'm Ready", "Walking Shade", "Sorrows (in blue)", "Pretty, pretty STAR" and "Strayz".
